Dr. Robert Champagne was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He graduated summa cum laude from Life Chiropractic College (Atlanta, GA) in 1980. He then returned home to Winnipeg where he opened his first chiropractic office. For eighteen years, he ran one of the busiest family-oriented chiropractic practices in Manitoba.
In 1998, being an avid skier, mountain biker, hiker and overall outdoor enthusiast, he decided to follow his dream and move closer to the mountains with his wife and their five children. In 2002, Dr. Champagne opened Douglasdale Family Chiropractic Centre in Southeast Calgary, Alberta which he sold in January, 2008. This allowed him to devote more time to expanding the walls of his office to other continents, by co-founding Chiropractic for the World Foundation.
In February, 2009, Chiropractic for the World Foundation received charitable status after many months of planning and waiting. Besides being the president of the foundation, Dr. Champagne enjoys time with his wife Suzanne, their five children and four grandchildren.
Dr. Janelle graduated from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2001. She immediately started practice along side her brother in her hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has spoken across the country to audiences of hundreds on creating healthy lifestyle changes including nutrition, exercise, stress and time management, raising a healthy family and living a chiropractic lifestyle.
Her passion and dedication to teaching others about chiropractic has taken her around the globe to Peru, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe and numerous countries throughout Europe. Her vision is to see a shift in how people live their lives, take care of their health and treat their bodies. She lives by the principle which her father taught and espoused which is to love for the sake of loving, give for the sake of giving and serve for the sake of serving.
"If there is one thing I learned in my practice of 7 years in Winnipeg, it is that no matter where I am in the world, people respond to chiropractic. Whether it's a child with an eye infection in Kenya, a woman with a pulmonary disease in Zimbabwe, or a traveler in Italy with too heavy luggage, chiropractic works."
Born May 29, 1945 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Dr. Paul Bickert was raised in Lumby and Nelson, British Columbia. His first experience with chiropractic was at age four when he suffered a compression fracture to the fourth thoracic vertebra that resulted in recurring bouts of backache and bronchitis. Chiropractors were his heroes. Their adjustments kept him going to school and later work.
When he was eleven, his mother gave birth to a healthy newborn sister, Janice Mary. Janice was dropped while attended by nursery staff in the hospital. His mother complained, "What have they done to my baby?" They never responded, however advised the baby would be fine. Reassurance was given and his parents and mother and baby were sent home. Six weeks later Janice suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage that left her an invalid until she was four.
"My parent eventually took my sister, who had Cerebral Palsy, to a chiropractor. Janice was given her first chiropractic adjustment and sent on to Spears Chiropractic Hospital that operated in Denver. There she received intensive chiropractic spinal and cranial adjustments. Within a couple weeks she could sit up and in four months she walked. That experience was an emotional and miraculous achievement witnessed by the whole community of Nelson, back in 1960. It resulted in three of her brothers eventually becoming chiropractors, states Dr. Bickert.

I used to sit there in awe of all the miracles I witnessed." recalls Dr. Alain Desaulniers of his time spent working in his father's chiropractic practice. "Growing up living a chiropractic lifestyle was so incredible. When I got old enough, I asked my dad if I could work in his office so that I could learn more about what he was always so excited and passionate about. While working at his front desk, I saw countless people experience and share their life and health transformation because of chiropractic. I knew then that it was what I needed to do with my life. I turned my curiosity into my life's vision and mission." Dr. Alain was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has been inspired his entire life by all the chiropractors in his family, now totaling more than 40, and has dedicated his life to learn and teach these amazing vitalistic principles of health and vitality.
